We received a wonderful email over the weekend and want to share.

It was from CD Baby, one of the largest online record stores that sell CDs for independent and signed musicians. They’ve been great supporters of Mr. David’s music (thanks, guys). In fact, when we released Jump in the Jumpy House, the editors sent us an email saying it was one of the best albums they’d received that year. So, you can imagine how happy we were to receive the following email from them again this weekend.

"The CD Baby editorial staff hears hundreds of albums every day and we love your "MR. DAVID: Jump in the Jumpy House" CD so much we’re going to include it in our upcoming Nerdy Music for Cool Kids collection which will be featured on cdbaby.com for one week beginning on Monday, March 23rd 2009.

This is random, but fun. We made this video of my dog, Lola, and her friend Onyx who is now sadly passed away. Lola is the "good dog" from "She’s a Good Dog" on my last children’s album Jump in the Jumpy House. She’s also in the video we made for that song. Click here to watch that video.

"TWO DOGS AND A ROPE"

We’ve had so many parents asking about where they can get a copy of Mr. David’s single Rainbow of Butterflies, we decided to post it online as a free download. To be honest, we’re not sure how long this will be here—maybe a week; maybe forever.

Rainbow of Butterflies was recorded last summer (’08) as a single and a fundraiser for a preschool in San Jose (Campbell). Thanks to all the kids who took part in the recording.

By the way . . . if any of you parents got pictures of that recording session, send them to us, please!

It’s that time of year again! Halloween is here.

About two years ago, I recorded a single, The Winchester Festival, in the spirit of Halloween. I was inspired by the changing of the season after having one evening gone for a walk with my wife and dog. The leaves were blowing across the sidewalk, the air was chilly, the spiders and ravens were out, and winter’s darkness was starting to encroach on us. Feel free to download this song and share it with your friends.

It’s finished! It’s complete! IT’S AWESOME!!

RAINBOW OF BUTTERFLIES, Mr. David’s newest single featuring a choir of more than 30 children from the Bay Area, wil be released as a limited edition recording this week.
